RECRUITING DESKS

The limit you hit
is not the message cap.

Recruiters run out of searches and profile views long before they run out of messages. Different constraint, different numbers, and mostly the wrong advice online because it was written for sales teams.

Is LinkedIn automation safe for recruiters?

The risk profile is different from sales outreach. Recruiters hit LinkedIn's commercial use limit on search first, and draw attention through high-volume profile browsing rather than through messaging. Muntin, LinkedIn outreach software for macOS and Windows, caps profile visits at 250 a day on a free account, 500 on Premium and 1,000 with Sales Navigator, and treats search as its own monthly bucket.

Why sales advice does not transfer

Sourcing is the bottleneck, not sending

A salesperson works a list of 200 known accounts. A recruiter searches, filters, browses and rejects hundreds of profiles to find twenty worth contacting. That browsing is the volume, and it is governed by the commercial use limit rather than by any messaging cap.

The failure mode is search, not restriction

Most recruiters meet the commercial use limit before they ever meet a restriction. The account keeps working, search results just stop appearing until the first of the month. Muntin counts searches in a separate monthly bucket of 800 so this is visible before it happens rather than after.

Candidates report differently

A candidate who feels spammed reports the message rather than ignoring it, and report volume moves your limits faster than send volume does. This is a targeting and writing problem, and no pacing engine solves it for you.

The caps that matter to a recruiting desk

  • Profile visits: 250 a day free, 500 on Premium, 1,000 with Sales Navigator. This is the one you will feel, and LinkedIn treats overreach here more harshly than on invitations because volume browsing is what scraping looks like.
  • Searches:300 a month on a free account and 6,000 on Premium, a separate bucket governed by LinkedIn's own commercial use limit rather than by anything we chose. It resets on the 1st.
  • Connection requests: 20 to 35 a day depending on tier, 100 to 200 a week.
  • Automated messages: 20 to 40 a day, shared across first messages, follow-ups and voice messages.
  • Acceptance rate under 30% halves your connection cap until it recovers. For a recruiter that is usually a signal the role is wrong for the list, not that the message is wrong.

Every number here comes from the full cap table, which includes the hard ceilings and the six-week ramp.

Sourcing candidates without burning the search budget

  1. Import from a saved Sales Navigator lead list rather than re-running searches. The list is re-runnable for newly added people and does not spend the search bucket twice.
  2. Use post engagers. Everyone who commented on a post about the tech stack you are hiring for is a warmer and cheaper list than a title search.
  3. Bring your own CSV. If your ATS already holds the profile URLs, import them and spend no search budget at all.
  4. Let cross-campaign dedup do its job. One candidate belongs in one campaign at a time, and being contacted about two roles in a week is how you get reported.
  5. Blacklist properly. A candidate who says no goes on the account-wide blacklist, not just out of one campaign.

When Muntin is wrong for a recruiting team

  • More than one recruiter. One licence, one LinkedIn account, no shared console and no combined reporting. A desk of five would be five separate installs.
  • You live in LinkedIn Recruiter. Muntin does not read Recruiter projects or pipelines and is not an ATS.
  • Your ATS has no CRM connector, Zapier step or webhook endpoint. Those are the three routes in, and a closed ATS fits none of them.
  • Sourcing runs overnight. Nothing runs while your computer is off.

One desk, one licence, $99.

14 days free, no card. If you need seats for a team, say so before you buy and we will tell you honestly that this is not the tool.

Common questions

What happens when the 14-day trial ends?

Nothing is deleted. The app locks until you buy the license, and everything you built during the trial is waiting when you unlock it. No card is needed to start the trial.

Is the $99 price going up?

Yes. $99 is the launch price until September 30, after which the lifetime license is $199. A license bought at $99 is not re-priced or re-billed, and exactly what it covers is written down and dated on the what your $99 covers page.

Will my LinkedIn account get restricted?

No tool can promise that it will not. Muntin keeps your IP and session local, then applies conservative caps, randomized pacing, warm-up, and working hours to reduce obvious automation signals.

What happens when I close my laptop?

Campaigns pause. Reopen Muntin and they resume from the exact step where they stopped. Nothing is lost and nothing double-sends.
