MUNTIN VS DUX-SOUP

Muntin vs Dux-Soup.
Including where they win.

Dux-Soup started as a Chrome extension and its cheapest tiers still are one, which means the entry plan acts from your own machine. Muntin is a full desktop application with its own database and its own browser session rather than a layer inside the browser you already use.

What is the difference between Muntin and Dux-Soup?

Muntin is LinkedIn outreach software that runs on your own computer and IP, sold once for $99. Dux-Soup Pro Dux is $14.99 per user per month and runs as a browser extension on your machine. Neither tool sends while your computer is off.

What each one costs over three years

One operator, one LinkedIn account, on month-to-month billing. Where a vendor advertises a longer commitment, the discounted three-year total is shown beneath it.

The optional Muntin AI plan is $9 a month if you want it. Bring your own AI key and it is free. Neither is required to run campaigns. See what your $99 covers and the full cost table for every tool.

Where each one runs

Muntin

On your computer. Muntin opens LinkedIn in a real browser window docked inside the app, signed in by you, on the connection you already browse from. You can open that panel mid-campaign and watch each action happen. Your leads and messages live in a SQLite file on your disk.

The trade: nothing sends while the app is closed. Missed actions are rescheduled rather than fired in a burst, and 40% of yesterday's unused allowance carries into today.

Dux-Soup

Pro Dux and Turbo Dux run as a Chrome extension on your own machine, so they act from your own IP. Cloud Dux moves execution to Dux-Soup's servers, which is a different risk profile at a different price.

Same trade as Muntin: it only acts while it is running on your machine.

We are not going to tell you Dux-Soup gets accounts restricted. Nobody outside LinkedIn can measure that, and any vendor claiming otherwise about a rival is guessing. What we will do is publish the exact limits Muntin enforces and let you compare them.

Choose Dux-Soup if

  • Your campaigns need to keep sending while your computer is off, in which case you want Cloud Dux at $99 a month, not the extension.
  • You want the cheapest possible monthly entry into LinkedIn automation. Pro Dux is $14.99 a month.
  • You want an extension that works inside the LinkedIn tab you already have open.
  • You need the agency tier with client seats. Cloud Agency starts at $371 a month for five seats.

Choose Muntin if

  • You want a real application rather than an extension, with your leads in a database you own and a LinkedIn session isolated from your normal browsing profile.
  • You want the interface to make sense. Navigation difficulty is a documented and repeated complaint about Dux-Soup in public reviews.
  • You want the caps published and the ramp visible instead of inferred.
  • You want to stop paying. Pro Dux is $539.64 over three years on month-to-month billing.

Feature differences, both directions

Dux-Soup has, Muntin does not

  • A cloud tier that sends while your computer is off
  • A lower monthly entry price
  • An agency tier with client seats
  • Runs inside your existing LinkedIn tab

Muntin has, Dux-Soup does not

  • A full desktop app with an isolated browser profile for LinkedIn
  • Local SQLite storage, exportable and deletable in one click
  • Published cap table with a six-week ramp
  • Reply sentiment classification and automatic handover
  • One-time $99 licence

Muntin runs on Windows 10 and 11 and macOS 12 or newer, on Apple silicon and Intel. There is no Linux build. Integrations run through native CRM connectors, Zapier, Make and n8n, plus signed webhooks across 60 event types.

Try it against your own list.

14 days, no card. Run one real campaign and decide from what happens, not from a comparison table written by one of the two vendors.

Common questions

What happens when the 14-day trial ends?

Nothing is deleted. The app locks until you buy the license, and everything you built during the trial is waiting when you unlock it. No card is needed to start the trial.

Is the $99 price going up?

Yes. $99 is the launch price until September 30, after which the lifetime license is $199. A license bought at $99 is not re-priced or re-billed, and exactly what it covers is written down and dated on the what your $99 covers page.

Will my LinkedIn account get restricted?

No tool can promise that it will not. Muntin keeps your IP and session local, then applies conservative caps, randomized pacing, warm-up, and working hours to reduce obvious automation signals.

What happens when I close my laptop?

Campaigns pause. Reopen Muntin and they resume from the exact step where they stopped. Nothing is lost and nothing double-sends.
